Support and foster a dorm community by organizing events; help new students get adjusted to life at college by introducing them to Harvey Mudd, and check in with them throughout the academic year to ensure their experience is going well. Meet individually with a group of first year students to discuss the academic transition from high school to college.

Monitor machine shop weekly to ensure safety and help students with projects. Attend weekly training sessions for machines and machine maintenance.

Act as a college ambassador to introduce prospective students and families to Harvey Mudd College.

As a Riggs Fellow, I work on a team with two students to implement lean manufacturing principles on two projects. Working with Mission Rubber, a rubber and pipe manufacturing facility, we are redesigning a cell to produce Adjustable Rubber Couplings (ARCs) in single piece flow in order to reduce downtime. At Noranco, an aerospace parts manufacturer, we are improving the Overall Equipment Effectiveness by studying the sources of downtime of a multi-million dollar CNC machine.
