With a deep fascination for the marine environment, I pursued fish biology and fisheries science studies, delving into statistics and programming in R. This led to an exchange program in Argentina during my Ph.D., specializing in image analysis. As a freelance statistical consultant, I worked across diverse fields like biology, agronomy, veterinary medicine, civil engineering, dentistry, and human medicine. This broadened my expertise in practical statistical analysis. Currently, I'm an environmental analyst at BE Bioinsight & Ecoa, where I excel in developing and executing protocols for spatial and temporal analysis. My work involves generalized linear models, species richness and abundance, before-after control impact (BACI) analyses, and estimating bird and bat mortality rates. I thrive in a dynamic team that emphasizes growth and learning. Driven by new challenges, I ventured into web development to combine data analytics with creating innovative products and services. Using JS, React, and SQL, I enjoy crafting websites and applications, fueling my creativity and strengthening coding skills. Organizational skills and punctuality are crucial to me, enhancing efficiency in both personal and professional endeavors. Estatística
The aim of my work was to develop a protocol for the acquisition of computed tomographic (CT) images of otoliths (vestibular bones of fish) and to propose analyses and possible conclusions that can be made with this new type of data. To achieve this goal, I have improved my performance in data manipulation and analysis with computational statistics using R, resulting in a publication entitled "Peeling the Otolith of Fish: Optimal Parameterization for Micro- CT Scanning" (https://doi.org/10.3389 /fmars.2019.00728). Given the scale and complexity of the data, we conclude that we are on the cusp of a new branch of research, which we call otolith echo-densitometry.

Computer Science
I lived for a year in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, where I took courses in image analysis and computer science. This partnership resulted in a chapter of my thesis dealing with the analysis of surface curvatures in tomographic (3D) images.

Fishing Resources and Aquaculture
The objective of my dissertation was to estimate the growth parameters of the white grunt (Haemulon plumierii), a small reef fish caught incidentally throughout the Northeast Coast. Using nonlinear regression models, it was possible to fit the parameters and describe the growth of individuals. We concluded that this species has a slow growth rate and a high life expectancy (+20 years).
