As Group CTO at Bellman & Symfon, leading the global technology strategy and R&D organization, driving the development of high‑reliability, connected solutions within the medtech domain. My work spans complex, safety‑critical systems where performance, robustness, and regulatory compliance—especially EU MDR—are fundamental design constraints. Delivering connected, high-reliability solutions that empower people with hearing loss. In addition to R&D, I also lead the Marketing organization, responsible for product documentation, manuals, product brochures, and the full UI/UX experience across our portfolio. This ensures a unified, user‑centric product experience from core technology to customer‑facing materials. I oversee end‑to‑end product development across embedded platforms, wireless communication, digital signal processing, mobile applications, and cloud‑based services. My focus is on building scalable system architectures that enable rapid iteration while maintaining the quality and traceability required in regulated medical environments. Technical focus areas: - Embedded systems — low‑power architectures, real‑time firmware, BLE connectivity and robust OTA update frameworks - Medtech compliance — integrating regulatory requirements (EU MDR, risk management, traceability, verification & validation) into the product lifecycle - System architecture — modular platforms, interoperability, cybersecurity, and long‑term maintainability - Digital ecosystems — mobile apps, cloud services and user‑centric digital experiences I combine strategic leadership with hands‑on technical direction: shaping product roadmaps, defining platform strategies, and ensuring that engineering decisions support both business goals and clinical‑grade reliability. With R&D teams across Europe and Asia, I foster a culture built on engineering excellence, cross‑functional collaboration, and sustainable innovation. .

Full responsibility of staff, budget, and strategy for four departments: - R&D department - Technical Support department - Product Managers - Logistics/Purchase Introduction into north America of Frico products. The introduction included AMCA certification (200 & 300) of Technical Center, UL certified products and close Eurovent collaboration. Introduced a successful project management model included internal and external resources. With the new model we launched projects with +1,5 milj EUR budget involving over 10 resources. Interconnecting purpose for the group companies around the world to be able to streamline the development of new products. Part of this work we launched a Future Engineering Team with cross function over several production sites. Directly involved in purchase and integration of acquired companies with strategic assortment. Technical Director is part of Strategy Team as well as the Management Team. The departments consist of 15 FTE´s plus consultants. The department's responsibilities: - Product development - Provide strategy for Group product development of 3, 5 and 10 years - Full responsibility for product catalogue - Technical support to both external customers, internal sales staff - Technical cooperation with R&D departments in sister companies - Support Sales & Marketing with technical information related to products and solutions - Provide strategy for market price of products - Operational and strategic purchase

My greatest achievement in this role was building a strong foundation for the department with development processes, improved cross functional communication, closer collaboration with our sister companies around Europe. Leading technical development, development of new products and improvement of existing products. Spokesperson for technical and standardization issues at ISO, AMCA, EcoDesign and Eurovent. Department's responsibilities: - Product development - Technical related decisions - Close collaboration with Marketing communication R&D manager, personnel and budget responsibility and part of Management Team. The R&D department consists of 7 FTE´s plus consultants.

During my time at Selecta, I built the R&D department to a successful team going from 2 to 8 resources. Launching several larger product lines (Starbucks to go at OKQ8, Concept “new coffee machine” with Semcon). Lead technical development and support organization for Operations, Marketing and Sales/KAM. The department's responsibilities (Nordics as well as Europe): - Product development of existing and new machines together with suppliers - Testing and development of payment systems (both cash and cashless) - Training & technical support of Technicians and Merchandisers - Technical expert for KAM teams and European Procurement - Product documentation, technical and chemical Head of Nordic R&D department included personnel and budget responsibility. The R&D department consists of 8 FTE´s.
