Full P&L responsibility for a Lithographic carton manufacturing site based in Portsmouth with 3 x print / cutting / gluing lines, £14million revenue p.a., c110 staff that supplies tightly regulated and controlled packaging to Pharma customers. Operating in a fast paced, Just-In-Time environment with bespoke customer orders.

Responsible for the Portsmouth Site and Compliance Engineer for Portsmouth and Liverpool sites. Duties: • Manage a team of 4 production supervisors, training, mentoring and setting KPI’s. • Developing the site to be a world-class manufacturer by continuous change and improvement projects. Maximising supply chain, production running efficiencies, warehousing and logistics through monitoring, review and continually measuring, performance of processes, people and equipment. • Managed the resource allocation ensuring that the shop floor has the necessary manpower and skills to meet production target. • Provide timely and accurate monthly management reports on KPI’s, budget, forecasts etc. • Managing all disciplinary issues quickly.

Responsible for the Portsmouth, Liverpool, Newmarket and Bromborough sites that encompassed carton label and leaflet SBU’s. • Responsible for making sure all four UK sites and one Irish site are compliant with company Risk Management Policy and implementing Risk controls at these sites. • Collecting data from sites and measuring production performance. • Working with site teams to implement efficiency programmes, to reduce production costs and improve production outputs and reduce waste.

Ordering all materials ensuring there is enough stock to meet demand with a spend of £1m. Carry out regular stock checks. Monitor all incoming materials. Manage the warehouse activities. Effectively organize waste removal. Support and assist with all Health and Safety and Risk Management issues at the site.

Responsible for running production machine. Ensuring demand deadlines were met and assisting with maintenance activities. Collaboratively work with teams internally to ensure strict deadlines were adhered to enable efficient flow through manufacturing processes .
