Strategic finance, governance and risk leader with over 20 years' experience supporting Boards, Audit & Risk Committees and executive teams to deliver sustainable organisational performance and long-term impact.As a Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and Director of Finance and Corporate Resources, I bring extensive expertise across financial leadership, governance, risk management, organisational performance, assurance, corporate services and strategic planning. My experience spans the charity, social care and higher education sectors, where I have successfully strengthened financial resilience, enhanced governance frameworks, improved organisational performance and supported effective decision-making at Board and executive level.I currently lead a broad portfolio encompassing finance, risk management, IT, cyber security, data protection, facilities, health and safety, and board support services. This breadth of responsibility provides a holistic understanding of organisational governance, operational resilience and the interconnected risks and opportunities facing modern organisations.Alongside my executive career, I bring significant governance experience through trustee and board roles, including seven years as Treasurer and Trustee of Canterbury Housing Advice Centre. I am also Founder and Chair of the Charity Finance Group Small Charities Finance Leaders Group, leading a network of over 200 finance professionals and championing best practice in financial leadership and governance across the sector.I am passionate about helping purpose-driven organisations balance strong governance, financial sustainability and social impact, while providing constructive challenge, independent thinking and strategic insight to support effective leadership and long-term success.
