I'm on a daily mission to have you, and as many people around you feel, "I'm on the greatest team, I love it here and I love coming in everyday." I've realized that no one actually wants to be bad at what they do. Not leaders or people who are being led on a team. (I mean, am I right??) You come in everyday wanting to do your best and have your people hear you, follow you, buy-in, and crush it. But things get in the way - everywhere and anywhere - things get in the way. Numbers are on the line, expectations are incredibly high, there's not enough time in the day. it's hard. You don't have time to dedicate to the things you may even WANT to do with your team. What I see everyday is that leaders are leaving meaningful performance on the table by thinking they're saying something and doing what is instinctual to them, but the problems aren't going away. - People are still coming to you with the same problems. - You go from meeting-to-meeting and can't slow down. - Time? Yes please, you need more of it. Fast. - And you need your people to be even more engaged and devoted to what they're doing.
