About
After spending a large period or time supporting Adults and young people who live in residential care settings (who display difficult and aggressive behaviours), I have progressed to being part of a management team that delivery of a service that supports families within their own home. This experience has led to some large steps in my personal growth and understanding of myself, humanity and in particularly increase my understanding of relationships and each individual families dynamics and parenting of children and young people (adolescents) . To build upon the majority of the work of my career, supporting children, young people and their families to find constructive ways to move forward with their lives. I have now developed leadership and managements skills to be able to support amazing people to complete this work, working alongside families that need support, to use compassion and expertise to move forward, helping them build upon their strengths and reduce conflict, safeguarding needs and improve the standard of the children’s care. All of the roles I have been in have included working as part of a multi-disciplinary or multi-agency team but this has increased in responsibility to leading in these groups to ensure that standards remain high across all people in contact with our service/s I currently registered as a licensed trainer for the Outcome star and this has widened my skills further, developing my abilities to support people to learn and manger larger groups of people. I have received positive feedback on my patient, engaging and competent style that allows the attendees to understand the multiple aspects of the training. I have a keen interest in psychology and sociology and apply this learning to my current role. After becoming established as a Family practitioner, I have extended my learning of how to best support parents, people and families by training in three different parenting courses. Each of these courses has a different approach to how to manage family life and relationships and all three of them have widened my knowledge and understanding. I am currently looking at avenues to take my development further and keep moving forward in my learning, which is really exciting.
