What drives me is creating, connecting, and building something that makes a difference. Over the past 20 odd years I’ve had the privilege of working with talent, ambitious freelancers and industry leaders - scaling businesses, transforming cultures, and delivering meaningful change. I’ve led organisations through growth, built high-performing teams, and shaped strategies that leave a lasting impact. I’ve seen the brilliance and drive that freelancers bring to the table and the positive impact freelance can have on not only the economy but the lives of those that do it but I’ve also seen the other side: the isolation, the uncertainty and the barriers that get in the way of real progress. That’s what led me to build RUVO. RUVO is a new kind of community platform for freelancers in the creative and marketing industries. It’s a space where freelancers can come together to sharpen their skills, grow their network, and open doors to new opportunities. Where real connection, support, and momentum replace the solo grind. Where the freelance experience is respected, celebrated, and backed by real resources from workshops and expert advice to perks, referrals, and advocacy. I built RUVO because I believe the future of work is flexible, creative, and driven by freelancers and that future deserves a strong backbone. My mission now is to champion that future. To back the talent that powers industries. To build a collective where freelancers don’t just survive, they thrive.
