As business leaders we need to adapt to the pace of change, creating an environment for our people to build the skills and adopt the practices that will enable them to flourish. Creating teams that bring together different generations, experiences and skills from multi-disciplines and harness their creativity to deliver world class experiences for our customers. Now more than ever we need to have our eyes up and out, learning as individuals and as organisations, so we can bring the best ideas to bear in New Zealand as well as learning from the many great kiwis. I have had a diverse career working across executive positions in different industries including professional services, FMCG, telecommunications and digital technology, in both New Zealand and Australia. I was appointed to Chief Executive of Spark on 1 July 2019, following a number of executive roles over six years in Spark. Previous roles include Customer Director, Chief Executive of Spark Digital for 2 years, and Chief Financial Officer for Spark for 3 years. I’m passionate about mentoring women in business, a member of Global Women and OnBeingBold an online collective developed by women for women. OnBeingBold has been created to capture and share the personal life journeys of prominent New Zealand business women so that others can be reassured that the squiggly line connecting home life and careers is anything but straight-forward. Prior to joining Spark as the CFO, I worked for 12 years with the Lion Group, Australasia’s largest beverages group.
