About
I’m called a Small Business Advisor because I’m only 5ft 6. Obviously I couldn't make it as a comedian, so I had to find another line of work. The truth is, I've never had a real job - only companies. I was an entrepreneur back when we were called business owners. I Like Systems Because I'm Lazy! I'll work my ass off trying to figure out how to do a job easier. Turns out the easiest way is not to do it at all. But you can see the downside. The next easiest is to pay someone else to do it. But to make that work you really have to systemize the work so you can train people to do it well, consistently, and profitably. I’ve had several companies that I only worked ON – not IN. One I had for 25 years, 23 of them while living 1,500 miles away. I’ve documented the systems I used and started consulting with other business owners about 25 years ago. I found that outside of the product you make, the other systems tend to be the same across all industries and they scale in a predictable way. I’m now semi-retired, but I don’t play golf so I keep working with entrepreneurs. If you’d like to know more, email is the best way to get ahold of me. John@CEOBootCamp.com No guarantee I can help, but we won’t know till we chat. I hope you have as much fun and profit in your business as I’ve had in mine.

Experience

Business Advisor
Since 1994 I've been helping company owners become better CEOs. And I help them leverage staff and other resources to deliver higher performance through better business process, management and leadership. Specifically I work with companies who have outgrown the entrepreneurial, seat-of-the-pants, high energy management style that has gotten them so far, but need a more deliberate structure to go farther.
