Primarily focused on white-label web development and consultancy services. Attracted some large clients such as Virgin Media, Footlocker and the Swiss Department of Defence.

Trained as an analyst and provided the Actuarial/MIS department with ad-hoc support in addition to the development and maintenance of numerous core database applications which were vital to the production of statistics for company-wide consumption. I was responsible for the construction of regular key-performance indicator reports and other statistical analyses for senior directors. I independently re-developed the company intranet and introduced a departmental knowledge-base system. I was also responsible for the analysis, improvement and diagramming of all information flows, data-flows and process flows. I routinely assisted with the completion of Lloyds of London quarterly financial returns and external Actuarial queries.

Stemming from an early passion for computer science and top quality design, I created a brand to offer web design and development services in my spare time. The self taught skills I acquired throughout this time allowed me to Cofound ConceptMill with a colleague from UCL.

Dealt with often ill and elderly clients requiring extreme patience and empathy. Occasionally the need to work with unhappy clients, and be the informer of bad news - I was often the first voice they heard. Diffusing the client's anger, whilst being informative, clear and empathetic, yet resilient in responses were of key importance throughout this role.

Working closely with the Divisional Manager, I learned in depth about the internal working systems of the Bank, including the detailed security mechanisms involved with debit card payment systems. I also witnessed first hand FRD's function to maintain stability of the UK's financial infrastructure by identifying and reducing threats to the system early on.
