Jaison John

With more than 16 years as a strategy and economic advisor, I have worked across sectors on strategic planning, sustainable growth, and policy-oriented projects in the public and private spheres. My experience includes stakeholder engagement, international relations, trade policy, and economic advisory work, with a focus on helping organisations navigate emerging sustainability and development challenges. As an Indian expatriate born and raised in the Middle East and having lived and worked in the UK, Asia, and Africa, I draw on a multicultural background that informs my approach to international policy and strategy. I began my career as an aircraft engineer, which gave me a practical grounding in technical systems before moving into advisory roles in aviation, energy, environment, finance, technology, and telecommunications. Over the years, I have contributed to initiatives in strategy development, sustainable finance, and innovation-led growth. I have worked with clients, including airports, airlines, financial institutions, government agencies, and international organizations to align programmes and operations with broader economic and sustainability priorities. My collaborations with development partners, research centres, and investment groups have strengthened my understanding of how economic and environmental considerations intersect in real-world decision-making. My roles have also involved policy research, partnership development, and trade-related work, with an emphasis on supporting efforts that enhance economic resilience. By applying elements of design thinking and behavioral insights, I aim to support policies and strategies that are practical, adaptive, and responsive to changing conditions. I remain committed to helping organizations and governments develop approaches that support long-term resilience, economic diversification, and sustainability. My work is guided by a focus on clear analysis, collaborative problem-solving, and context-sensitive strategy that can be implemented in meaningful and constructive ways.
