About

As the world confronts the reality of dangerous climate change, we need to harness the transformative power of the market to deliver rapid emission reductions, in every sector, as quickly as possible. Bringing together the right technology, finance, business models, leadership and policy settings has never been more important. For 15 years I have been a relentless champion for the renewable energy, energy storage, renewable hydrogen and electric vehicle industries, and a vanguard for securing the strong smart energy policies at all levels that underpin that transformation. I am privileged to lead Australia’s peak independent smart energy body, the Smart Energy Council, representing a diverse range of around 1,000 member companies. Companies that grow strong while doing good. Who together, will transform Australia's economy. Connecting people locally and globally, developing a strong public constituency of support, and calling out the vested interests that want to slow or stop the transition is all part of my job. Our work is supported by an awesome industry brains trust across every major facet of our industry. Our annual Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition brings together around 10,000 delegates, as well as hundreds of exhibitors and experts. We deliver the Smart Energy magazine to an audience of more than 35,000 readers and service our 50,000 subscribers with exceptional in-person and online training programs In 2022 I was honoured to be awarded the Global Excellence Award in Renewable Energy by the Indian government 2022.
