As a mechanical engineer with a M.S. degree from Drexel University, he specializes in renewable energy, the thermal-fluid sciences, and program/project/personnel management. Mr. Del Mar was a Resource Lead for the simulation team at the NASA Kennedy Space Center. He was also the Program Director of Solar Thermal Testing and Engineering and a Senior Research Engineer with the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC). As Resource Lead, Mr. Del Mar managed work assignments for a team of 16 engineers and computer scientists. As simulation engineer, Mr Del Mar used MATLAB/Simulink to simulate fluid components and mechanical systems. - Helped develop and integrated physics based MatLab/Simulink thermo-fluid library components for hydraulic, cryogenic, and hypergolic system models. - Assist simulation team in generation and life-cycle support of subsystem models and software. - Employee Recognition recipient for outstanding support to the ESC customer.
