ONE X FIVE is a publication I founded in my final year at University. The publication is based on the concept of taking a young creative per issue and giving them the opportunity to create, develop and curate five individual and unique concepts. The debut issue was based on my own works as a stylist, for the issue I created the five editorial concepts and collaborated with photographers, models and HMUA to bring the concepts to life the pages.

Working mainly as bar staff I have been able to develop bar and service skills working in conventional bars, cocktail bars and a table service theatre environment, Regularly I have been involved with training new members of staff and working with supervisors to promote venues. I have also been able to take the role of shift supervisor when needed. After 10 months I took a new position in the company as promotions staff. I then returned to work for Copenhagen in my summer break (May 2014 – August 2014).

Working in one of the flagship stores I learnt my advanced skills in retail, sales and service, Essential values such as team work, close management working and the ability to show initiative thinking were demonstrated and taught to me through management. My ability to learn quickly allowed me to gain more contracted hours with the company giving me more experience in retail.

Working in the busy city center branch I was a vital part of the shop floor team, working with management and supervisors to provide market leading 5 star customer service, Working part time I was able to exceed account card opening targets and regularly receive praise from higher management for my contributions to the store. An essential part of my role helping to merchandise the shop floor and provide style advice to customers, ensuring they left feeling confident and pleased with their outfit choices

At Wallpaper magazine, working within the Fashion Team, I worked closely with the Fashion Director, Editor, Booking Editor and Junior Editor on the development of photoshoots and editorial content. Main tasks included sample selections, call-ins and returns (in turn building working relationships with PRs , liaising with couriers, general upkeep of the fashion cupboard, communication with PRs through email and telephone, credit checks/write ups, assisting with the coordination of fashion week schedules and ticket requests, attending press days on behalf of the fashion team, assistance on set (including care of garments, dressing of models, collecting and writing up credits and ad-hoc jobs). A part of my role I particularly enjoyed was meeting with model and filing them on to the internal system (with credentials on behalf of the Booking Editor.
