I work at the intersection of property level flood protection, resilient repair, and insurance continuity. My focus is on practical, insurable mitigation that reduces loss, speeds recovery, and keeps homes and businesses covered after a flood. My work spans two core areas: 1. Insurable Property‑Level Flood Protection I support councils, insurers, retailers, businesses, and homeowners with solutions that are simple to deploy, evidence‑based, and aligned with real‑world repair pathways. Key areas include: - FloodRecover3R Piecemeal– a structured, resilient repair methodology that restores insurability after a flood and reduces repeat losses. - Krisis Flood Bags – a globally unique solution for property content flood protection - Property level mitigation planning – identifying practical measures that reduce damage, speed reinstatement, and support continuity of insurance cover. 2. Resilient Repair, Mitigation & Recovery I help organisations and people move beyond emergency response and into long‑term resilience. This includes: - Designing repair solutions that reduce reinstatement time and cost. - Integrating mitigation into reinstatement to prevent/reduce repeat claims. - Supporting insurers and councils with frameworks that align technical solutions with policy requirements. - Translating complex resilience concepts into operational workflows for teams on the ground. Background & Approach I’ve spent more than a decade developing and deploying practical flood resilience solutions, including the first residential flood door (2010), the Flood Resilient 7‑step methodology adopted by CIWEM as the UK Code of Practice (2023), and FPaaS models that link mitigation to insurance continuity. My work is grounded in technical credibility, commercial realism, and a commitment to solutions that can be deployed at scale. Today, I support organisations across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and internationally to strengthen property level resilience, reduce losses, and build a more insurable future for flood exposed communities
