About

I am an extremely motivated and passionate individual who strives at achieving excellence in everything I do. As someone who loves travelling, I've set myself 50 places to visit before I die, aiming to engage in extreme activities and to conquer a number of difficult hikes around the world in the near future. Since starting AFM Services back in 1995, my contagious ambition and strong family values are what motivates my team and me to work together to help businesses grow and succeed. Specialising in accounting, business advisory and having been in the industry for 25+ years, I am proud to be able to share my skills and knowledge with both new and experienced accountants who join the AFM family. My greatest achievements are jointly raising our four beautiful children with my wife Rose, and the development and construction of a lifestyle property in the Adelaide Hills. Alongside all of this, I also take pride in AFM Services developing a strong reputation as one of the largest sole practitioners in Adelaide which provides quality services. I look up to entrepreneurial business owners with a desire to push boundaries, achieve greatness and those who give of themselves to selflessly help others. This inspired me to become a board member of Propel SA and volunteer my time to charities such as Ronald McDonald's House Charities. Propel SA invited me on board as a member to add value to the organisation by assisting small business owners, and as one who massively supports SA, I was able to involve our organisation to be involved in volunteer work to help those in need in Adelaide, and in particular, the children. I further volunteer my time to be part of CPA, currently the deputy president of SA Divisional Council and in particularly involved in Public Practice Committees both in SA and nationally to help support and further develop the organisation and industry that has given me so much and one I'm extremely proud of. Having dealt with smalls businesses for over 30 years, I have developed a deep understanding of the challenges and adversity they face. I genuinely believe most small business owners can achieve amazing success if provided with the right tools, training and support. This is why AFM aims to become a 'one-stop-shop' for all services needed by the SME market.
