Led a geographically dispersed team of analysts to produce intelligence reports and briefings that informed senior management planning, including resource deployment. In so doing, I enhanced professionalism by promoting good practice from UK and overseas agencies. I also marketed the intelligence function within the organisation and built partnerships with UK and overseas agencies, helping to integrate UKBA/ IE within the wider intelligence community. Also delivered a transformation project that recommended action to enable the under-used bulk data analytics capability to be developed to make more effective use of its data, enhance operational effectiveness and drive the ongoing organisational Transformation Programme to ensure wider new ways of working, including operational activity, would be intelligence led.

Led production of the business case justifying the Civil Service Resourcing recruitment system, including monitoring of costs and benefits. As part of the wider leadership team, I used intelligence techniques to assist planning how our services would be expanded and rolled out.

Led a team of strategic and operational intelligence analysts to deliver intelligence products for senior management policy makers and strategy owners that helped to direct national anti-fraud planning, decision making and resource deployment.

Lead role within the JIO's Challenge Team. I reviewed and challenged reports for presentation to the Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) to ensure that judgements were as strong as they could be according to the information available. I also prepared briefings for SCS managers who attended JIC meetings. In addition, I had an ambassadorial function promoting best practice in Challenge/ Review and wider analytical and critical thinking techniques across Government departments.

Lead projects within Immigration Enforcement's Transformation Programme, with particular focus on devising new ways of working.

Led projects and virtual teams of senior level specialists to produce plans for reduction of estate and redeployment of staff and other resources that contributed to £m savings. Gained acceptance for these from senior departmental management and the Financial Secretary of the Treasury (FST). I also held discussions with wider stakeholders including staff representatives and MPs.

Managed projects to design a senior management structure for the newly created Risk Intelligence Services Directorate and propose capabilities for the newly created Internal Governance team. Both involved gaining input from Other Government Departments to identify good practice, technical experts and senior internal stakeholders.

Lead a multi-agency team of analysts and researchers that produces a weekly report about immigration crime for ministers and senior readers in Home Office, and prepares written and verbal briefings for senior managers attending strategy meetings involving the immigration minister or his representatives.
