As a Managing Director and Deputy CEO of BankNordik I was jointly responsible for a financial group with a balance sheet of DKK 16-17 billion and with more than 500 employees in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland. During this period I worked intensely with large organizational, operational, regulatory and technological transformations. This was required because of BankNordiks expansion form the Faroese marketplace to also being present in Denmark, Iceland and Greenland. My main executive responsibility with BankNordik was to oversee the group’s personal and corporate banking activities.

As Head of Corporate Banking in BankNordik I was responsible for the banks corporate lending activity. The clients included a significant part of the Faroese corporates in most sectors including fisheries, seafood, aquaculture, trade, shipping, aviation, energy, telecommunication.

I was responsible for establishing the first diplomatic representation of the Faroe Islands in the United Kingdom. Also I was appointed as the representative for the Faroe Islands to the UN organisation IMO (International Maritime Organisation).

As an expert, I assist the EASME with the evaluation of the proposals submitted in response to the Horizon 2020 - SME Instrument Programme
