I love to dream up new and better ways of doing things- particularly automating repetitive physical tasks- and bringing them to life. I'll see some process and think, "I could build a machine to do that." Most of my career has been dreaming, designing, and building in the world of secondary packaging machinery. I've been around the block- from adapting standard machine designs for new applications, updating legacy designs with state-of-the-art components, to completing full-blown ground-up new and innovative machine designs. Case erectors, case sealers, case packers, conveyors, inserters, palletizers, and a few odd others- that's where my career has focused. There's a patent listing me as sole inventor for a new way to open a box. I'm proud of that because I strive for innovation, ingenuity, practicality, and simplicity in what I design and I think that patent is one way to show that I can do it successfully. Thinking outside the box (pun fully intended) is where I operate best.
