I am a "new age" farmer, striving to make our little farm as productive and sustaining as possible. By mixing perennial fruits and nuts with annual vegetables, all grown organically, we provide food for ourselves and visitors. Solar powered electricity, hot water, and wood heat round out the picture. An interesting job in town helps to make ends meet.

Tree thinner. Using a chainsaw; thinned an overgrown tract of forest that was clear-cut in the 60's. By following a prescribed formula of "leave" trees, resulting in proper species diversity at appropriate distances apart. The result was a healthy mix of the proper tree species for that area.
