The Parent Company was initially established as Tung Ling Industrial Company, Ltd. in 1988. In 1991 the Parent organization registered its highly recognizable brand and trademark, Piyo Piyo—an adorable, yellow, newborn duckling that has a very highly recognizable appeal (Piyo Piyo is the sound he makes). By 1993 the company focused its primary product strategy on the development of an exclusive and unique line of baby products. The Abby Bear brand was introduced in 2000 and expansion continued to the current 25 retail facilities and even wider distribution networks throughout Taiwan. The Parent Company began distribution in China in 1999 and soon became extremely successful there—Piyo Piyo baby products can be found in more than 400 locations throughout China. The U.S. Company was formed in 2010 as the next key strategically component to make Piyo Piyo a successful global brand.
