As an EHS Regional Coordinator I'm responsible for the implementation of the Environmental Health & Safety program into five different facilities of the west coast operations in the metals division.

• Worksite safety supervision contractor for Murphy and Repsol • Hydrocarbon safety awareness, spill site supervision and simops lead • In charge of hot work, cold work, confined space permits, FIT testing and supplying PPE • Internal Auditing processes to assure proper alignment of company goals • Atmospheric testing for hydrocarbons for OSHA and company compliance

Inspect equipment and facility, and ensure that skiers follow all safety rules and codes of conduct. Identify potential hazards, and take necessary steps to ensure the security of visitors. Assist in the safe loading and unloading of skiers while providing instructions on safety to prevent any accidents, and ensuring an enjoyable customer experience. Ensure safety of patrons, i.e., proper clothing, equipment, etc. and vigilantly look for unsafe conditions, mechanical breakdowns and possible injury to skiers through their negligence.

Monitored the steadiness of campsites and made sure compliance with park rules and regulations while checking the proper use of ATV trails. Observed and reported activities and incidents, including providing safety of the forest while patrolling to watch for any potential stiles or signposts that need repair.

Created specialized fluids and ensured quality for water based and oil based mud. Analyzed mud check results and provided recommendations to the management. Managed inventory of chemicals, and calculated the estimated costs of drilling and extraction versus projected profits.

Gathered and analyzed the chemical and physical properties of geophysical data. Interpreted data from seismic surveys and prepared geological maps and cross-sections. Oversaw and performed quality control checks at well sites of open hole logging operations, resulting in increased effectiveness, better cost controls and reduction in overcharges.

Oversaw and assisted in managing the daily field operations. Achieved superior customer engagement, website traffic, and raised awareness by managing web content and uploading daily production figures on the company’s website. Objectively addressed customers’ technical queries and updated client records in the database. Created, maintained, and networked the company’s first digital well file system.

Worked together with all field staff members daily and facilitated drilling and other activities. Organized all Railroad Commission of Texas (Texas RRC) needed paperwork to meet state regulatory compliance. Processed purchase requisitions of all AFE’s and drilling costs to the client website using RIM database. Produced drilling productivity reports and provided opinions to management for decision-making. Expertly negotiated terms and lower pricing with vendors, resulting in a cost saving of over $50K for the year.

Provided analytical and consulting support and took strategic data-related decisions by analyzing, manipulating, tracking, managing, and reporting data. Trained and developed employees on policies and procedures to maintain quality and integrity. Oversaw and led the central receiving office for inflow and outflow of client data. Documented and stored records, and archived geotechnical data using various databases, such as PI/Dwights, Probe, TOW, and RRC websites.

Managed various operations to make sure efficiency, safety, and cost control by providing a detailed analytical record of the geology, drilling and mud parameters. Obtained logs and completion cards from well log library, and created stratigraphic and structural cross-sections. Scanned and loaded electrical logs using GIS, produced weekly flow reports and kept records. Prepared and monitored authority for expenditure (AFE) and filed all Railroad Commission reports for the year of 2005—gained a working knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002

I recently took many geology classes at the collegiate level to enhance my understanding of the subject. I only took classes that I could afford. My intention was not to get a degree but for mere education.
