I have a seasonal position were I assist with a specific agricultural or weights and measures program in order to prevent the introduction and spread of harmful insects and weeds, animal pests, and plant diseases; or to ensure weights and measures laws are upheld. Place, inspect, and maintain pest detection traps, including working with the public to obtain approval for trap placement. Perform pest surveys. Destroy harmful weeds by digging, burning, or spraying with chemical herbicides. Assists with inspecting and testing packaged commodities to ensure proper labeling practices are followed. Clean, maintain, and organize shop tools and hardware. Assists in keeping records and prepares reports.

Worked as as seasonal employee were I provided customer service to visitors at the Woodward Reservoir. Responsible to collect entrance fees to Woodward Reservoir at entrance station and from delinquent visitors at camp sites and reconciled cash at the end of each day. Assisted visitors to the park with a variety of needs during their stay. Responsible to write notice of violations to park visitors when necessary and worked with Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department to identify illegal activity in the park and to assist with camper disputes and altercations. Conducted park maintenance and clean up when necessary.

Worked at John B. Allard School, Ceres Community School as a long term substitute tactical character trainer. Responsibilities included teaching character training to middle school students with behavioral problems, facilitated marching drills, and organized/facilitated physical fitness training for students. Ensured appropriate classroom behavior for assigned class and enforced disciplinary action when necessary. Wrote disciplinary reports for students when necessary. As a campus supervisor at Empire Community School was responsible to patrol school grounds, ensuring the safety of the students and staff. Maintained close communication with police officers regarding identified children. Facilitated the resolution of conflicts between students, restraining them when necessary.

Enforced child support by using very privileged governmental data base to locate delinquent non-custodial parents. Prepared and initiated legal actions against them. Maintained detailed event logs on statewide computer system. Provided customer service through call center answering questions pertaining to child support, taking payments over the phone, and processing complaints.

This position was an internship were I educated residents of Modesto on the importance of water conservation. Patrolled neighborhoods with city vehicle and responded to calls relating to water conservation. Was responsible to write citations for water use violations. Maintained log and documentation of municipal code violations. Reported multiple offenders to Modesto code enforcement. Installed water meters.
