Operating laboratory and technician, supporting the work of 2 electrical engineers and 1 senior chemist. General laboratory duties include, order all supplies and instruments, maintaining instruments, emergency health contact. Our research is focused on the electrochemical corrosion of metals ,components used in enginnering pacing/diffibulating devices. I am the hands in the lab, building electrochemical cells, masking substrates, welding,soldering, microscopy analysis, electrochemistry characterization and data analysis/presentation. Duties are not limited to this and include others.

Polymer characterization-MTS-IMASS-UV-Vis-FTIR-Rheology-ARES G2-DHR-, formulating, dilution curves, Curing kentics analysis, optical analysis-transmission-reflectance, lab scale to production scale. Sample preparation, involving multiple constructions, with various substrate-Polarizer Film-Sensor Film, Liners, PET, carbonates ect. Developmental polymer research. Data analysis via Minitab and Excel. Providing analysis to customers in meaningful manner via graphs, figures and data charts. Assisted in running DoE's, Gage R&R and Measurement System Analysis. Development of new SOP's and amending current SOP'S.

Was supplemental instructor for intro to psychology. Tutored a variety of subjects including but not limited to, Biology, Organic Chemistry, Math, General Chemistry ect.

Laboratory Manager 2nd shift. Trouble shot problems with production as they would arise, assessed and investigated, proposed solution. Chemical and instrument analysis. Instruments used- refractometer, atomic absorption, x-ray. Wet chemical analysis (Titration) of metal plating lines solution tanks.Hull Cell analysis.

Multi Step Polymer Synthesis from simple sugars(D-manose, D-glucose), purification techniques-use of sonicators, column chromatography, Thin-layer chromotography, rotovaps, lyopholizers, NMR characterization, proton and 2D COSY NMR. Presented work at annual Center for Sustainable Polymer Conference U of M.

Multi-step synthesis of ligands, complexation of ligands with various transition metals, use of resulting structure as catalysts in oxidation reactions of hard sulfur containing molecules. Purification techniques, large column and thin layer chromatography and recrystalization methods. Characterization via UV-Vis, HPLC, NMR. Solvent to solvent extraction.
