New Product Introduction and Manufacturing Responsibilities - Develop and execute NPI (New Product Introduction) strategies and plans for all Lexmark Branded and OEM hardware programs. - Engage each program at initial concept in Product Development life cycle and manage through end of life. - Execute manufacturing diversification strategy consolidating 3 Tier 1 suppliers to 2 Tier 1 suppliers and establishing processes and supply network for first Lexmark printer manufacturing in Thailand. - Advance lean capability and culture throughout organization and supply base. Drive significant process improvements. - Drive modularity (commonality and convertibility) within each product platform and across platforms and modules. - Develop and execute strategy for introducing and manufacturing an increasing range of hardware to OEM customers (and their unique interfaces, requirements, processes, etc) - Develop strategy for manufacture of high complexity, high mix, low volume product. - Advance supplier relationships with strategic Tier 1 and Options Tier 2 suppliers. - Advance organizational capabilities of Cebu NPI and China Operations teams. Tooling Engineering Responsibilities - Lead a world wide team of tooling engineers to quote, fabricate and qualify tools to supply plastic injection molded parts and stamped metal parts to Lexmark manufacturing operations. - Team manages multi million dollar capital tooling budgets for each of Lexmark's product segments. - Provide leadership for team of ten engineers in Lexington and thirty engineers in China.

- Responsible for tracking and managing product cost for laser printer division. - Coordinated with product managers on product cost outlooks. - Provided projections of material costs for business plan and strategic plans. - Reported monthly to divisional vice president product cost saving outlook vs prior outlook and vs plan. - Coordinated with Purchasing and Engineering functions all cost reduction projects, value, timing, probability and general status. - Provided divisional input to corporate Finance Dept regarding manufacturing overhead projections for yearly outlook, business plan and strategic plan.

- Managed a $500m purchasing relationship with Lexmark's largest inkjet supplier. - Negotiated part cost, contractual terms, labor rates, overhead rates. - Led executive business reviews and meetings in Lexington, China, Japan and Korea. - Tracked and managed supplier performance for cost, quality and delivery.

- Led Lean Manufacturing improvement projects across Lexmark supply base. - Led projects in stamping, molding, assembly, PCBA manufacturing, machining, etc. - Communicated across multiple organizations and all levels to manage projects, convey results, status and build consensus. - Regularly utilized lean tools and techniques such as: takt time calculations, cycle time studies, value stream mapping, 5S, line balancing, work re-sharing. - Frequently led Kaizen events and value stream improvement projects. - Traveled domestically.

- Led a team of 5 engineers and 5 technicians responsible for the manufacture of discrete set point pressure controls used in the HVAC and automotive industries. - Team responsible for defining production processes, equipment, cost reduction and quality performance. - Worked with marketing, finance, production on business case analysis. - Managed large automation projects to assemble and test pressure controls. Responsible for justification and budgeting. - Regularly communicated with executive management on status of projects and budgets.
