The National Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics (NEM) NEM is an advisory and appeal body for the seven regional committees for medical research ethics. Members are appointed by the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research.

Manager and therapist at an outpatient clinic at Namsos hospital. The clinic had a staff of 12 therapists (psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses) and served about 50.000 people in the Namsos area. In my time as manager we went from a waiting list of near 100 patients and waiting time of approximately 50 weeks, to a waiting list of 3 patients and a waiting time of 2 weeks.

Seksjon for psykiatrisk utredning. Ansvar for utredning, diagnostisering og behandling av pasienter med komplekse lidelser (komorbiditet), psykoselidelser og utviklingsforstyrrelser.

Field: Human Judgment and Decision-Making Topic: Improving Inter-Rater Reliability in Grant Peer Review Using data from The Norwegian ExtraFoundation, The Kavli Trust, The Norwegian Cancer Society and The Norwegian Research Council I will look for factors influencing the degree of agreement between reviewers. Based on the results and on a systematic review of the literature we plan do develop an online course for training and testing reviewers. This course will be tested in an RCT in three different grants.

Chief Program Officer (ledende fagsjef) at The Norwegian ExtraFoundation for Health and Rehabilitation. The ExtraFoundation has 32 members, all voluntary health organisations based in Norway. The foundation receives part of the profit from the national lottery in Norway, Norsk Tipping. We support clinical research and health project work with about NOK 250 M every year. The foundation has three discipline leaders (fagsjef) in research, preventive health and rehabilitation. My responsibilities include coordinating this work and raising our academic standing through our research and project funding and through better desicion-making processes. www.extrastiftelsen.no
