-Provides strategic leadership and oversight of risk management and patient safety programs across the AHD network (2 hospitals and 7 satellite clinics). -Leads hospital-wide risk identification, mitigation, and governance in alignment with JCI and DHA standards. -Drives safety culture and staff empowerment through education, certification, and recognition programs. -Oversees risk registers, RCA/FMEA reviews, and incident investigations ensuring data-driven improvement. -Advises executive leadership on high-risk priorities and organizational resilience strategies.

Performs a variety of duties related to managing potential risks and liabilities within the facility. This includes: - Creating and implementing policies that improve both patient care, employee safety and modifies policies to comply with safety legislation, JCIA, and other local health industries (e.g. CPQ) - Facilitates hospital Environment of Care and Leadership Rounds - Educates and trains staff about potential risks. - Works with the hospital's legal counsel in situations of medical malpractice with the guidance of the hospital Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Committee. - Coordinates and develops hospital-wide programs for quality patient care and risk-free services. - Investigates any incidences that may result in an asset loss. - Conducts hospital emergency code drills.

Overall Responsibility: • Developed Strategic Planning for Nursing Department with the DON • Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, supports the clinical effort of the nurse at the ward/department level with a view to maintaining and improving quality patient care. • Help assessed, plan, and implement Nursing Improvement Project • Monitor all the Occurrence Report and make effective actions and recommendations • In charge of ensuring all patients receive a consistent level of care. • Encourage all nurses on wards/departments to participate in the educational and quality assurance activities. • Monitoring patient care, analyzing the processes and procedures used in patient care and ensuring all patients receive care based on these JCI standards. • Coordinates all Occurrence Variance Reports from the Nursing Department • • Develops Nursing Quality indicators. • Responsible for planning and implementing quality control and quality improvement assignments. • Responsible for monitoring all proficiency protocols, testing, and reporting • Provides administrative, technical and coordinative support to the quality improvement utilization and clinical risk management programs in PCRH on a hospital wide basis. • Assists in the development of process metrics, data collection tools/systems and presentation/analysis of resultant data • Assists with providing statistical data for medical staff committees and CQI teams; acting as a CQI team facilitator, team leader, or team member, as needed. • Coordinates case review, trending and physician profile information in support of medical staff peer review activities
