• In charge of all construction activities in the western Minnesota area for the mainline digs program. • Created business analytics dashboard and completed data flow optimization project to streamline reporting from the field.

• Led project managing diving operations to inspect assets and install support anchors up to 270 feet underwater.

• Managed the cost, schedule, forecast and coordination of the $15MM+ Tamarac Reroute project, completing the project on time and under budget.

• Led large capital project groups in defining the scope for new projects, analyzing alternatives to achieve the scope and developing the business case for the selected alternatives to present to upper management. • Created forecasts on North American petroleum production and demand used to develop the corporate strategy on future projects and acquisitions in the refining and petrochemical industry.

• Managed Operations Engineers over refinery utilities systems including water reuse, cooling towers, steam systems, boilers, nitrogen systems, plant air, clean water systems and the waste water treatment plant. • Headed a safe work practice initiative for the process organization which established training improvements through gap analysis, lead course development and created a sustainable management system for the training.

• Successfully led the first hydrocracker turnaround as execution lead in charge of shutdown, startup and all process inspections of the production unit. • Managed daily operations, equipment capabilities and troubleshooting efforts of the hydrocracker and distillate hydrotreater with no unplanned shutdowns or downtime while setting production records on both units. • Increased hydrocracker capacity by 14% and set distillate hydrotreater production rate record.

• Developed and led test run to successfully decrease chemical costs by $2.5 million/yr. • Created dynamic limit system which reliably increased tower capability by $1.5 million/yr. • Increased vacuum unit production by $1.5 million/yr by automating key control variables and revising operating strategy.

• Designed a $300,000 environmental system and presented to upper management which was approved and installed in the purified isophthalic acid unit. • Created a new test to increase reactor yield and profits on the maleic anhydride unit by controlling reactor pressure.

• Modified paper composition using statistical analysis which increased throughput on the highest profit paper grade.
