•Establishing and constructing security standards and best practices that an organization should follow •Implementing security controls to protect an organization’s infrastructure, computer system, and digital files •Organizing and conducting scans and testing in order to identify vulnerabilities •Reporting results of scanning or testing and providing security recommendations for further system security enhancement directly to the management •Preparing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols •Ensuring that the organization is aware of security incidents as much as possible, as quickly as possible •Educating the workforce on information security standards, policies, and best practices •Conducting penetration testing by simulating an attack on the system to find exploitable weaknesses •Monitoring networks and systems for security breaches, using software that detect intrusions and abnormal system behavior •Responding to any security breaches or intrusions that may occur

• Monitors network activity for abnormalities and execute correcting actions, also maintains IPS/HIDS. • Assist in investigation of IT security-related incidents • Ensures that end point antivirus is updated and properly reporting • Evaluates emails and assess if mail is a spam • Performs vulnerability assessment scans and ensure that servers are safe from vulnerabilities • Researches for new malwares and threats on servers/applications/end points • Assess websites if it is safe to access • Manage proxy/web gateway and ensure that the user only access work related sites. • Conduct internal penetration testing and audit

• Sets example for maximizing usage of materials and recommends best practices in supplies utilization • Solicits relevant information from the client to sufficiently describe non-routine problems to other IT service groups (i.e. Telecoms and Network Engineering, Systems Administration Group, Corporate Solutions Development Group) for problem resolution • Interfaces with client end-users to discuss and understand the requirements as well as explain the actions taken to close the ticket and achieve client’s satisfaction • Documents ticket details ensuring that information for resolving the ticket and improving IT service tools is added to the knowledge base • Tests implemented solutions and proposed improvement initiatives in handling ticket requests to ensure that it is effective and that it resolves client concerns • Provides site technical support/assistance for the configuration, installation and troubleshooting of desktop PCs and related peripherals. This covers but not limited to the following: Desktop PC hardware such as scanners, printers; Desktop PC Operating System such as Microsoft Windows, Linux, etc; and desktop application software such as Microsoft Office, Anti-virus software and other application software • Ensures the security of desktop (PC) environments from external and internal virus threats through effective maintenance of antivirus software applications • Participates in the implementation of IT disaster recovery and preventive maintenance provisions of the company • Recommends technological solutions focused on available technical support services to address business requirements • Comes up with improvement initiatives and new ideas to solve and complete tasks and tickets • Proposes corrective actions to errors encountered in the program and program changes
