* Primary responsibility for handling of company’s bad faith litigation nationwide. Responsible for other corporate litigation including personal injury, loss control, class actions and contract cases. Duties included formulating and implementing strategy and tactics to achieve a favorable outcome for the company * conduct of settlement negotiations * selection and supervision of outside counsel * making coverage determinations * provided legal advice to the Claims and Loss Control Departments on legal issues as they arose. Conducted seminars on legal issues for various departments of the company.

* Primary Responsibility for the company’s litigation including employment related matters ( including wage and hour), class actions, contract cases, professional liability and bad faith litigation. (General liability, professional liability, directors and officers, property and workers compensation.) Duties and responsibilities include * advise and consult with senior management regarding litigation under my supervision * participate in senior management discussions regarding major litigation handled by the claims department * formulating and implementing strategy and tactics for the litigation to achieve a favorable outcome for the company * provide legal advice to internal clients- Human Resources and Claims * conducting settlement negotiations * selection and supervision of outside counsel * determining coverage positions and reviewing bills. Consult with Human Resources on employee grievances, corrective actions, reductions in force, drafting of employee manuals and corporate code of conduct. Consult with Claims Department and a major customer on coverage issues and large cases.
