I maintain and operate Atkinson Hall auditorium, a joint use facility which operates as an event space as well as a lab for high resolution visualization. We feature an 8K JVC projector, 4K JVC projector, and a Sony SRX 4K cinema projector. I also maintain and operate our video recording equipment for the auditorium, and our streaming machines. In addition to the auditorium I operate our visualization wall which features 32 NEC screens stitched together through computer nodes for extremely high resolution output (some of our images range up to 128,000 X 42,000 pixels!). More recently I have become acclimated to using a wall software called SAGE2, a software designed for big display collaboration. My position also allows me to assist in building tours, operating visualization caves, assist in building computer nodes for visualization, work in sound specialization, work with several programming languages, run technical equipment for the IDEAS performance series, and set up, design, and implement technical needs for our on sight art gallery.

assistant recording engineer
university of california, san diego
I began working for UCSD's music department in Fall 2013 and after several months was given the opportunity to advance to being an assistant recording engineer under Joe Kucera. I track many live concerts at the university in several different settings such as the Conrad Prebys Concert Hall, The Experimental (black box) Theatre, Conrad Prebys Recital Hall, and also UCSD's Mandeville Theatre. The concerts range from graduate student performances to groups as large as the La Jolla Symphony and Choir. It has been an excellent experience and I highly encourage music students to get involved with their department.
