EXECUTIVE PORTFOLIO ~ MR. JOEL G. KATZ A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Joel Katz brings over 25 years of executive financial experience to company boards from a career that began as a Certified Public Accountant and quickly moved into a role of Chief Financial Officer for e-commerce software corporation Harbinger leading the company through all phases of the initial public offering in 1995. At HRBC and subsequently with software-based Vignette, Mr. Katz managed key investor relations with top tier banks and investment groups facilitating a secondary offering for VIGN after an extraordinary IPO. Following the success of Vignette, Katz chaired an audit committee and became a board member advising the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Witness Systems, guiding the company through positioning, managing financials, and deliberating acquisitions and WITS 2000 initial public offering. Since 2003, Mr. Katz has served in a private investor role for a diverse industry portfolio of start-ups. His investor oriented perspective has led to several successful public and private capital raises as well as several successful exits throughout his career.
