* Collaborated with mechanical engineers on designing and supporting the assembly of linear friction welding machines. Contributed to projects from the early design and concepting phase to assembly and support * Gained hands-on experience and perspective assembling linear and rotary friction welding machines and inspecting incoming parts * Created 3D part models, assemblies, detail drawings and simulations in SolidWorks * Projects included sheet metal brackets, weldments, modelling hydraulic systems, facility layout, concept modelling for new friction welding techniques, and standardizing nomenclature in the CAD part library among others
