Joe Daft
Managing Director @ Autrix
About
As the Managing Director of Autrix, I oversee the delivery of innovative and accessible robotic automation solutions for various industries, such as manufacturing, logistics, and e-commerce. With over 17 years of experience in technical operations, I am passionate about applying new technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency while maintaining simplicity and user-friendliness. My previous role as the Head of Robotics at Wise Robotics allowed me to lead the robotics business within the Wise Technologies Group, managing all aspects of business development, sales, engineering, partnership, strategy, and operations. I specialised in consultancy, sourcing, evaluating, designing, and implementing a wide range of AMR-based robotics for different sectors and clients. I enjoy being hands-on and meeting new challenges, testing theories, and proving how technology and operations can work together.

Upon the resignation of a director I was promoted to Head of Operations which included my previous role. This included the oversight for planning, cost and operational effectiveness to improve throughput in line with business objectives set by the board of directors. I reported directly to the board and I was responsible for 60 permanent staff which rose to 120 during peak trading seasons. Working closely with my department managers gave a “hands on” approach to problem solving and improving performance.
