Rehired as a State Street employee to continue support of multiple aspects of both the Corporate and Global Advisors IT Infrastructures, focusing on OS security and administration, in addition to BAU activity, 7x24 on-call escalation and troubleshooting, audit forensics, server and application life cycle projects, introducing source code controls for a security critical application (PowerBroker). Some career highlights include the design and implementation the OS migration from Solaris to Red Hat Enterprise Linux for the Security Infrastructure for both Corp and GA domains; the migration of PowerBroker pbrun from version 10 to version 22 for Corp and from version 6 to version 22 for GA; and leveraging LDAP netgroups to promote better configuration flexibility for pbrun. I also continue to standardize that application across both Corp and GA to improve maintenance.

Rehired as a contractor to continue support of all aspects of the SSgA Enterprise Infrastructure including JBoss 7 applications migration, Autosys R11 migration and support, Hadoop Big Data implementation, PowerBroker PBUL (pbrun) administration, Exadata storage migration, Solaris and RHEL OS administration and security, network integrity, Disaster Recovery redesign architecture, Sybase database migration, and oversee that the IBM Delivery Team continues to adhere to all SSgA policies and procedures. Initiated exploring possible integration solutions using Docker containers and Amazon Web Services (AWS) into the enterprise.

All IT functions at State Street were transitioned to IBM Global Technology Services in December, 2012 and have continued to perform those duties listed under the State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) section. They are not included in this section for brevity. New responsibilities include: - Trained and transferred knowledge to the offshore Unix team to provide technical support to SSgA. - Project Engineer and Subject Matter Expert for multiple projects including Autosys R11 migration, WebLogic v12 life cycle migration, Sybase life cycle migration, Delphix installation, and Exadata installation. - Leverage Cloakware to manage elevated root access. - Participated in the certification of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.5 into the SSgA environment. - Involved in the IBM initiative to rollout IBM End Point Manager (IEM) into the SSgA environment.

• Administer predominantly Solaris 10 environment of nearly 400 servers in standalone and Veritas clustered configurations. Other Operating Systems in the environment are RHEL 5 and AIX 5.3. • Implement virtualization via Solaris 10 zones & high availability with VCS that consolidated applications into significantly fewer physical systems reducing applicable costs. • Implemented and supported IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) on RS/6000 M80 and pSeries p630 servers for enterprise-wide data backup solution. Designed and currently implementing backup migration strategy to IBM x3850 running Linux RHEL5. • Designed, developed, implemented, and administer enterprise-wide security strategy for controlling privileged access to servers via BeyondTrust (aka Symark) PowerBroker. Developed in-house library functions to modularize PowerBroker code. Converted installation to Sun package and Linux RPM for easy integration into the specific OS jumpstart/kickstart build. • Designed, developed, implemented, and administer enterprise-wide remote job control solution via Computer Associates Unicenter Autosys Job Management. • Develop and support high availability solutions using Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle RAC on several multi-node clusters on Sun Enterprise platforms for State Street Record Keeping System (RKS) Oracle databases. • Manage DNS/DHCP/IP via Infoblox Grid Manager. • Perform hardware maintenance on most Sun Microsystems platforms. • Participate in semi-annual security audits, such as Sarbanes-Oxley. Participate in quarterly internal self-assessment security audits. • Participate in annual disaster recovery testing to ensure a smooth transition of business critical functions in the case of a catastrophic outage of the IT environment in Boston. • Provide day-to-day support for other Infrastructure Teams as well as Financial Business Units.

• Developed & supported solutions using Veritas Cluster Server on Sun platforms; including migration planning from Axxion High Availability (HA) software to VCS. • Designed, implemented, & supported segmented environments consisting of IBM logical partitions (LPARs) on pSeries frames as well as Solaris domains on Sun Fire midrange servers. • Performed system & site level disaster recovery testing for mission critical applications. • Performed semi-annual OS & security patch upgrades across Fidelity’s core business platforms. • Participated in cross-organizational teams to develop standards, improve the build process to streamline server deployment processes, improve supportability, & increase customer satisfaction. • Oversaw the replacement of several servers destroyed in New York City during the 9/11 crisis. Servers were deployed & operational within a week’s time. • Implemented & supported Y2K compliance. • Provided 7x24 on-call support for over 2000 Solaris and AIX servers.

Unix System Administrator, December 1991 – May 1997 • Provided system programming and administration support, including installing new servers and workstations, building kernels, integrating new systems into the LAN, & developing backup strategies. Developed systems software to communicate between SunOS and VAX/VMS. VMS System Manager, March 1985 – May 1997 • Installed and supported VAX/VMS and its layered products on many Digital platforms in a networked environment either as stand-alone workstations or as VAXClusters. • Provided internal OS consulting, including memory management, system performance, system tuning, DECnet configuration, and systems programming in MACRO, FORTRAN, and C. • Developed and taught several in-house VMS classes. Project Engineer, August 1983 – March 1985 • Designed, developed, and integrated real-time diagnostic software for fire control combat systems. This required communications between VAX platforms and MC68000 based processor modules.

Performed avionics testing for US Air Force; in particular, the compatibility of miltary frequency-hopping communications was tested and analyzed with commercial airliner avionics for potential interference.
