Responsible for the safety and health of over 10,000 associates. Responsibilities included developing a robust EHS management system incorporating best-in-class processes, procedures, and people. Developed a forward-thinking EHS mission for the organization, strategic goals, and objectives (short and long term) congruent with the overall company direction, implemented an enterprise-wide EHS auditing process, performed due diligence activities regarding acquisitions, and created standardized EHS processes key to the company strategy. Developed strategies to evolve from behavioral-based safety to human and organizational performance. Provided leadership support and oversight of the Environmental, Health, and Safety program. Initially hired to oversee EH&S at the facility in Arlington, TX. After six months with the company, the VP of Operations asked me to assist in creating a new global EHS organization. In this new role, I was responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety, health, security, environmental, and DOT compliance programs across all countries the division was in. This consisted of taking best practices for each country and ensuring that the new programs and policies would meet the requirements of each country.  Ensured compliance with all applicable safety regulations, including OSHA, DOT, and environmental requirements.  Conducted regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and develop corrective actions.  Analyzed safety data and identified trends to develop targeted improvement strategies and safety initiatives.  Provided safety training and education to employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.  Collaborated with cross-functional teams to establish safety goals and objectives and drive continuous improvement efforts.  Investigated and reported on incidents and accidents and developed action plans to prevent recurrence.  Coordinated with regulatory agencies and served as the main point of contact for safety-related matters.  Developed and maintained emergency response plans and procedures to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
