Jody McQuarters

With 34 years of experience, I still enjoy working in this industry of wastewater treatment, safety, chemicals, operations, management, design and maintenance. Knowing that over my years I have learned the skills I proudly have today that either came of the training, hands on experience or even to the point of being self-taught when needed. My first position of a chemical operator I had I walked into the industry with little to no knowledge, but I invested myself and stayed in that field over the years since. I have added to that experience in other areas only to add to my ability to learn more. I sat on several safety committees and even became the chair of the safety committee for several years at my current position. Involved in safety innovative improvements in this industry is never ending, but the challenge and ending to solve and improve is very rewarding I feel, and I have been happy to have been involved in many project that led to those improvements. I have always looked to find ways to improve the system I oversee for ways to make them run more efficient and have been able to with some. With shorting run times start to end or finding way to make the process run with less issues. Either in the operations or mechanics of it. I have been able to do this on more that several locations. Currently working in the wastewater treatment field for the last 15 years. I came into this with process knowledge knowing how to move the water throughout the system start to end. Over those years I have come to understand it and have brought that to my current position where I oversee the daily operations of the two wastewater treatment plants for the same company. I was hired to improve the original, to bring it to run better. I helped design the second larger one and am currently happy to be involved in the building of the third which will be bigger than the last two. Even after all the 34 years in this industry I still enjoy what I do.
