Jocot recently took on the role of President and CEO of Manila Water Company, Inc. (MWC). Manila Water is the East Zone concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) and is responsible for providing water, sewerage and sanitation services to over seven million customers in eastern Metro Manila and Rizal Province. The company also operates several business units in other metropolitan areas beyond its Metro Manila concession coverage, reaching as far as Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia. Previously, he was at the helm of PrimeBMD as CEO, lending his three decades of experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has worked with large multinationals (as CEO of GE Philippines), publicly-listed Australian oil and gas companies (as CEO of Nido Petroleum Ltd.) and the government sector (as Undersecretary of the Philippine Department of Energy and Chairman of the Philippine National Oil Company Exploration Corp.). He is currently a member of the boards of publicly-listed Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. and Oriental Petroleum and Minerals Corp. As Manila Water enters its 25th year of delivering water and wastewater services, it will continue promoting better lives and resilient economies through critical infrastructure - delivering world-class services that fit the needs of the communities it serves. Jocot will focus on collaboration and engagement with stakeholders and partners, talent development and the delivery of sustainable water infrastructure and solutions to grow the business.
