Direct the Interdisciplinary Studies major including advising students, coordinating faculty advisors, creating promotional materials, assessing the program, recruiting and retention activities working in conjunction with Admissions.

Was selected for one of the most outstanding dissertation proposals in the College of Liberal Arts at Southern Illinois at Carbondale and received one year of fellowship funding.

Have reviewed many textbooks through the years.

Created brochures, newsletters, and news releases for events. Served as media liaison. Event planning included art shows, craft shows, and holiday events.

Taught five courses in English and communication. Served as department chair for two years, established a journalism program, scheduled all courses, hired and evaluated all adjuncts, managed department budget, served on executive committee with Provost.

Edited the Writing Across the Curriculum newsletter, created programs, fliers, press releases for events and worked as a media liaison for large events. Did some freelance PR work for the Admissions Office. Also assisted faculty with research.

Managed three technical accounts and assisted with several others including set-up media placements, technical writing, press release writing, assisted with product photos, some trade show prep.

Founder of the GEMS (Girls Exploring Math & Science) Summer camp, created four STEM outreach programs for girls in the K-12 schools, brought the Leadership Enhancement Program for minority and female faculty and staff to ERAU, established the Diversity Lecture Series, and worked in partnership with the College of Engineering on diversity programming that was recognized with the ABET President's Award for Diversity in 2008. Brought in over $650,000 in grants as sole PI and/or Co-PI.

Taught two courses per semester in English Department while pursuing my doctorate in English. Out of 100 graduate teaching assistants, I was one of five selected to teach upper-level composition courses as well as taught composition using computers, which was innovative in 1991. Won the Alan Cohen Research Award for the best research paper in 1992. During three consecutive summers, I was the Head Humanities Librarian's Research Assistant and together we published the Margaret Atwood Annotated Bibliography for several years.

I teach literature, speech, and communication courses at ERAU and am the faculty advisor for the Interested Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. and for the EcoCar 2 Communication Team.Previously, I advised our 2007 NASA Means Business Team, that won the national public relations competition to promote NASA. In addition, I am the chair of our Humanities and Social Sciences Department's Curriculum Committee, an elected position, and the chair of our Amenities Committee, in charge of coordinating department social events. I am an elected Executive Council Board Member of the international Italian-American Studies Association, based in New York City and on the Editorial Board of the journal Florida English.
