1995 – 1997 and 1999 - 2000 Section Head – Agricultural Department , Corfu, Greece Having a University Degree in Agriculture (specialising in Plant Production), I was the Technical Sector Expert in charge of tree spraying activities at the Agricultural Department of the Corfu Borough’s Municipal Environmental Agency. The spraying of olive trees across the whole island of Corfu is an annual activity (lasting 5 months per year) in order to prevent the infestation by an insect that destroys the trees. The spraying process takes place by air (using helicopters) and on-foot (by staff using canister spraying). My job involved: Provision and placement of specialist chemicals for the spraying by helicopter and on-foot Supervision of the land workers follow-up activities in managing future insect infestation
