About
Hi, I’m Joanna 🙋🏼♀️ and I have had a dream to work in fashion for as long I can remember. It all began on my 11th birthday when I was gifted a dressmaker mannequin, metres of material and an introduction to fashion design workshop. Later moving my passion into fashion photography at the age of 16, I reached out to any events around the area asking for experience as a catwalk photographer. Working at shows such as Africa Fashion Week London, Graduate Fashion Week and a range of charity events I started to immerse myself in the fast paced lifestyle and appreciated the diversity of people met along the way. Attending the University for the Creative Arts to study Fashion Promotion & Imaging, I learned the history behind the industry I’d fallen in love with and gained wider training in both styling and marketing. Taking my practice into the working world and beginning my career at ASOS, their vibrant Head Office gave me confidence in knowing this was the path for me. The pandemic then hit and left me job searching for 6 long months, eventually landing my dream role as a Buying Assistant at Dune London. From gaining two promotions, independently buying two outlet ranges and meeting friends for life, it was a rewarding 3.5 years and emotional to leave behind. Now onto my next adventure…relocating to Sydney, Australia. Keen to continue my career in the Buying industry and broaden my understanding of global fashion trends and diverse consumer markets, I am excited for what the future may bring and where this next road will take me!🌏
