Clinical Trial Educator role functions within the Commercial division of Quintiles. As a CTE I was responsible for working with the Clinical Research Associate to support the Research Team with study initiation, patient recruitment, and ongoing educational support during conduct of a clinical trial.

Responsible for the day-to-day management of 55 professional and ancillary staff on a 31-bed adult and pediatric bone marrow transplant unit. Fiscal and resource management, quality initiatives, and coordination of care within the multidisciplinary BMT team for adult and pediatric patients undergoing 130 bone marrow transplants per year. Re-establishment of a pediatric bone marrow transplant program on the adult bone marrow transplant unit. Focused on team-building and negotiation strategies to enhance seamless implementation of the program on the adult unit.

* Responsible for day-to-day management of 65 staff members on an inpatient medical-surgical-oncology unit and an Ambulatory Infusion Center. * Collaborated in the management of scheduling process to facilitate workflow, resource utilization and increasing patient volume in the ambulatory setting. * Resource management including staffing requirements; fiscal responsibility reflected in budget management and productivity reports; Inpatient unit-based discharge-planning; Quality Initiative projects, and management of ongoing staff and educational development * Patient education projects in both inpatient and outpatient settings. * Responsible for monthly Schwartz Center Rounds in collaboration with Oncology Social Worker and Psychiatrist.
