In my current role, I administer and monitor care for patients with chronic and acute conditions in a hospice/home setting. I provide in-depth patient education regarding a variety of conditions and treatment options, including general health and wellness instruction and daily care. I am adept at using Athena to write and organize medical charts. Additionally, I order and interpret diagnostic testing including labs, x-rays, and other materials; I prescribe and manage medications. I also provide in-depth patient education regarding disease process and re-hospitalization to reduce costs. Key Accomplishments: Independently manage a 200+ patient panel while addressing acute and chronic conditions and quickly/accurately assessing best personalized treatment options. Successfully implement treatment plans including nursing, physical and occupational therapy, and intra-family dynamics. Increased practice size from 200 to 650 patients over three years through excellent patient care and service.

I developed and implemented strategic care of post-operative patients at a center specializing in surgical procedures; in addition, I worked with patients from intake through discharge. I demonstrated expertise in obtaining health histories, reviewing and updating center policies as needed, and proactively stepping in as a charge nurse. As such, I served as mentor and trainer to new nurses and nursing students. Key Accomplishments: Expert-level OR RN/PACU RN responsible for developing cost-cutting measures to decrease surgery costs with alternative products and vendors. Adept at patient education and post-operation instructions, care, and complications/infection management.

I provided key emergency care during high-stress ER response cases; oversaw complex surgical cases.
