I have an experience in conducting microscopy-based analysis. I have especially worked with fluorescence confocal microscopy, but also scanning confocal microscopy, and to a minor degree widefield microscopy. In contrast to bioimaging I have some experience in conducting for example ELISA, qPCR and Western Blotting. I have a great interest in the effect of nutritions on the dysregulation of gene expression. I have by confocal microscopy investigated the nutritional regulated transcription factor ChREBP in pancreatic β-cells. Throughout this project I examined the transport and sequestration of ChREBP by conducting fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) assays, colocalization assays and conducting a series of time lapse. In addition to fluorescence microscopy, I have extensively preformed paraformaldehyde fixation of cells and adeno-virus transduction of cells. Adding to this I was also shortly introduced to methods as fluorescence in situ hybridization ( FISH ) and immunostaining assays .
