We make the connection between school and the world of work, enabling young people to develop the knowledge and attitudes they need to succeed, building on 8 key skills: Communication Confidence Financial Capability Initiative Organisation Problem-solving Teamwork Resilience Last year we delivered 338,340 learner experiences with young people aged 4-25. Integral to what we do are our 6,000 business volunteers who share their experiences in the classroom and make up our local volunteer boards. What we Young Enterprise Offers: We offer something for every year of education from our Primary Programmes to our Secondary Programmes (including our year-long Company Programme) to the university-level Start-up. We are the UK’s leading figure in personal and business skills and we work with 3,482 educational centres across primary and secondary, delivering over 4 million learning hours each year.

Having finsished my year as the Ladies Circle Area 4 Chairman I am spending this year helping to raise the profile & the membership for Bromsgrove Tangent. Tangent in a National Association initially for Past Ladies Circle but now is open to all ladies over 45. Our Aim is to have fun socialising

Having reformed Bromsgrove Ladies Circle back in 2004 I have taken up various roles within my local Circle & Area to assist in the growth of Ladies Circle. This year I have taken the plunge and I am Chairman for Area 4 looking after the Seven Circles in our Area - Bromsgrove - Coleshill - Kingfisher - Knowle & Dorridge - Moseley - Redditch - Shirley My charity for the Year is Help Harry Help Others & along with my fellow circlers we are looking to spread the word about both organisations. Whilst Ladies Circle is a modern, forward thinking, young women’s organisation we’ve been around for nearly 75 years! Our origins are with the young man’s organisation Round Table. Circle was originally founded as a social group for the wives of Tablers. Bournemouth No 1 circle founded in 1932 and it’s still going strong! Eight more circles followed in 1936 in Manchester, Hastings, Liverpool, Doncaster, Middlesborough, Wolverhampton and Southampton. In 1947 Circle started to spread internationally with Great Britain & Ireland (GB&I) helping to set up Circles in Denmark & Sweden. This lead to the founding of the Ladies Circle International organisation in 1958 to bring together Circlers from across the globe. The 1950’s lead onto Circle adopting Imperial Cancer Research as our national charity, Imperial is now known as Cancer Research UK.
