Astarita, Aldrich & Ward (AAW) is a global leadership consulting and search practice established by leading voluntary sector figures Mark Astarita, Tobin Aldrich and Imogen Ward helping charities in the UK and overseas. I offer support on communications and marketing including project management of new website (and subsequently being the website editor), interviewing third sector leaders around the globe for website blogs, and writing and editing search proposals and recruitment packs.

Administrator: Co-ordinate forum bringing together a group of influential organisations concerned with improving farm animal welfare: Compassion in World Farming, the Food Animal Initiative, Sainsbury’s, World Animal Protection, the RSPCA and the Soil Association with advice from Bristol University Vet School. Also provided secretariat for the Poultry Welfare Forum, a stakeholder group of producers, retailers, NGOs and industry, over a period of two years.

Organised event '30 years of farm animal welfare: where to next' to celebrate career of Joyce D'Silva, CIWF Ambassador. Hosted by Joanna Lumley with speakers Professor John Webster, Professor Joy Carter and Martin Palmer of the Alliance of Religions and Conservation.

With non-for-profit Earthsite, producer for three DFID-funded films in eight language versions, to encourage and promote community forestry in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Involved research and organising of filming in remote areas of Guatemala, Cameroon and the DRC.

Organised and filmed annual 45 minute film of sponsors of elephant, rhino and chimp adoption schemes shot in various locations in Kenya over a five year period. Also copywriting appeals, newsletter articles and fact sheets.

Project managed three key global research projects to help determine WAP interventions on wildlife, working with Oxford University’s WildCru, Bristol University Vet School and Ian Redmond, as well as co-ordinating and monitoring of WAP-funded wildlife projects and activities.

Co-ordinator, World Champions for Wildlife campaign for the Asian Conservation Awareness Programme (part of WildAid): Managed campaign to engage heroes and heroines of sports world to film TV conservation messages to global audience of over one billion people, including filming of Olympic athletes in Ethiopia, China and the UK.

Co-ordinated elephant campaign based around Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). Including participating in on-site research and investigations within range states and consumer nations, as well as representing campaign at international conferences. Also provided support for EIA’s tiger campaign, including on-site investigation into illegal mining in a tiger reserve in India.

Planned, budgeted and monitored supporter initiatives, including fundraising appeals, supporter recruitment and supporter services. Editor of 'The Investigator' magazine.
