Jennifer LaClair

Jenn LaClair serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Spire - Pay With Spire, Inc., a modern payments company transforming everyday spend through seamless, cost effective and rewarding Pay-by-Bank solutions for merchants and consumers.LaClair is a seasoned financial services and payments executive with over 25 years of experience in strategy, finance, and operating roles in early stage as well as large-cap publicly traded companies. Her background spans P&L ownership, strategy, finance, operations, and business transformation, with a consistent focus on disciplined growth, capital allocation, and execution. Prior to becoming CEO of Spire, LaClair served as Head of Merchant Solutions at Fiserv, where she ran the company’s largest business, overseeing end-to-end performance across sales, product, marketing, and servicing for over one thousand enterprise clients and two million small business merchants. Earlier, she was the Chief Financial Officer of Ally Financial, the retail lender and largest digital-only US bank, where she led capital allocation, balance sheet strategy, investor relations, and finance transformation. She also spent a decade at PNC in progressively senior leadership roles, including serving as CFO across all business segments and as Head of the Business Bank. LaClair began her career at McKinsey & Company, specializing in strategy, operations, and transformation, and earlier worked in international development across Europe, the Middle East, and West Africa. She currently serves on the boards of Whirlpool Corporation (Chair, Audit Committee) and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond (Chair, Technology Committee). She earned an MBA from Case Western Reserve University and a BA, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
