I designed and implemented a critical system to ensure account balance consistency, by reconciling transactions, between ModernFi and our banking core provider, Q2 in under 2 months. Pioneering Contributions: This was the first of its kind integration for us at ModernFi and the system made use of a relatively new Q2 capability.

Led the modernization of critical financial reporting infrastructure, transitioning from a complex Ruby monolith to a high-performance, scalable Kotlin-based event streaming pipeline on Kubernetes. - Redesigned and implemented a revolutionary reporting system that processes financial data through low-latency event streams, significantly reducing engineering costs while improving system reliability. - Pioneered a flexible architecture outputting granular time-series data to Snowflake, empowering accounting teams to create custom reports and balance workloads in their preferred environment. - Engineered comprehensive data lineage capabilities by distilling complex reporting logic into clear primitives expressed as protobufs with domain-specific annotations for projection, entity mapping, and aggregation. - Solved persistent scaling challenges through an innovative streaming architecture with relational projection that maps events to the lowest grain of aggregation. - Spearheaded the team's technology modernization, successfully breaking new ground in adopting company-standard Kotlin, Kubernetes containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and updated resource/identity management schemes.

Highlights: • Designed and implemented payments backend for the Possible Card product, ensuring seamless transactions. • Led the adoption of GraphQL to streamline frontend/backend integration, improving overall system efficiency. • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to enhance the payments system.

Highlights: • Designed and implemented a next generation evidence ingestion system for Axon, leading to increased efficiency and streamlined processes. • Managed a large scale time-sensitive evidence storage migration (~40 PB) to drive cost savings and improve operational visibility. • Promoted to Engineering Manager for the Platform team, overseeing a team of 8 engineers and expanding the audit platform to cover new products.

Highlights: • Designed and delivered Vortex, a high-throughput event collector and event bus powering ultra low latency stats and achievements, server intelligence, page view and funnel analysis, BI, SI, and QoS metrics. Adoption spanned Xbox Live, Xbox.com, and Windows 10. • Was awarded a patent for this work. • Designed, evangelized, and co-implemented an ecosystem of SDK and a schema language to standardize semantics across a wide ecosystem. • Designed a high throughput ETL system to move Vortex events to an internal big data store named Cosmos. • Implement Xbox One WinInet and WinHTTP client network stack integration with Vortex for QoS measurement
