I took pizza deliveries to customers with a smile. I also spent some time as an assistant manager during that time so I took care of food orders, training and running shifts as well.

I run every aspect of the store. From hiring, training, marketing, running shifts I am the person who takes care of the business. The one thing that I don't have authorization for is setting our marketing budget and I don't do the accounting. I have trained every level of team member including a general manager to replace me as I moved on to another store. So far I have been put in charge of 3 separate stores. I increased sales at the first by 37% within 7 months. At the second store I weeded out thieves and built up a team that was necessary in getting the store moving towards it's potential. The third store has been a fun challenge. It has run at a "satisfactory" level when I first got in. It was a fun challenge to take a store that was already OK to good and make it excellent. As of 08/17/2014 I took on the additional role of supervisor for our Halsted store while maintaining my position as General Manager of the South Loop store.

Circumstances put our company in a position of having no general mangers for a time. I have been tasked with maintaining the operations of the stores while training new team members, shift runners, and general managers. It hasn't always been easy but we are starting to see the results and almost have 2 general managers trained up. I'm really looking forward to getting back on a sales focus over a training focus though.

Honestly, i used the least amount of effort possible to get an associates degree. A foolish and tragic waste of time that I take full responsibility for and am ashamed of.
